Modern Slavery Statement

This statement outlines the steps SPL Consulting Limited has taken to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains. It is published in accordance with the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015.

1. Our commitment

SPL Consulting Limited is committed to a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery. We act ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships. We have implemented robust systems and controls to ensure that modern slavery is not taking place anywhere within our own business or our supply chains.

2. Our business and supply chains

SPL Consulting Limited is a UK-based management consultancy firm. We provide expert advice to clients across various sectors. Our business operations primarily involve our UK-based employees and a select number of contractors.

Our supply chain is a low-risk environment for modern slavery. It mainly consists of professional service providers in the UK, such as IT consultants, software vendors, and office suppliers. We require all our suppliers to uphold our high standards and to have their own policies in place to combat modern slavery.

3. Our policies

We operate several policies to ensure that we conduct business in an ethical and transparent manner. These include:

• Ethical Sourcing Policy: Our policy for sourcing services and products ethically.
• Code of Business Conduct: This code outlines our company values and the ethical standards we expect from our employees and partners.
• Whistleblowing Policy: We provide a clear and safe process for any employee or stakeholder to report concerns about modern slavery without fear of retaliation.
• Recruitment Policy: Our strict recruitment process includes verifying an individual’s right to work in the UK to protect against human trafficking and forced labour.

4. Risk assessment and due diligence

We assess the risk of modern slavery in our operations and supply chains on an ongoing basis. Given the nature of our work, we believe our supply chain is generally low-risk. However, we have a due diligence process for all new suppliers, which may include:

• Supplier Questionnaire: A formal questionnaire to assess a supplier’s policies and procedures.
• Contractual Obligations: Our contracts require suppliers to comply with all anti-slavery legislation and to confirm that they have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery in their own business.
• Right to Audit: We reserve the right to audit suppliers identified as “at risk” to ensure compliance with our standards.

We will not work with any supplier that fails to meet our standards.

5. Training and awareness

To ensure our team understands the risks of modern slavery, we provide regular training to all relevant employees. The training covers:

• Recognising the signs of modern slavery.
• The steps to take if a potential case is identified.
• Our internal policies and procedures.

We also educate our employees on their rights, including fair wages and access to our grievance procedures.

6. Our effectiveness

We will measure the effectiveness of our actions by monitoring for:

• No reports or concerns received from employees, suppliers, or the public regarding modern slavery practices.
• Regular reviews of our policies and procedures to ensure they remain robust.

7. Looking ahead

We are committed to continuous improvement. We will continue to review and update our processes and policies to combat modern slavery.
